Rules and Policies

DEALERNET issues a sales disposition for each vehicle sold. Copies online under "My Activity" and can then be printed or emailed.

Sales Disclosure(s)

All vehicles offered for sale are retail-ready unless otherwise disclosed. Normal wear and tear is expected. Minor paintwork is acceptable if done to industry standards.


 

The DealerNet definition of retail ready includes:

A current smog/emissions and safety certification
No excessive body or paint work (two panels or less, not including bumpers)
5mm or better on brakes and 5/32 of an inch or better on tires
Clean Carfax
Clear title
Vehicles offered as certified must meet OEM standards

Anything that affects the retail sale of that vehicle needs to be disclosed.
Ineligible vehicles for our sale(s) include:

Salvage title
Frame damage
Manufacturer buybacks (Lemon Law)
Mechanical problems
DMV-restricted vehicles
TMU (true mileage unknown)
Gray-market vehicles
Any safety-related items
Manufacturer stop-sale vehicles will not be offered; all other recalls are sold on a "buyer beware" basis.
Fees
Dealer buy and sell fees vary by location, contact your local DEALERNET site for fees. All other fees will be assessed as follows:

Consignment fee—$0
No sale fee—$0
Rerun fee—$0
Registration fee—$0
Out of Stock/Retail Fee $300
Texas issued "bonded titles" must be announced
Vehicles first titled outside the United States must be announced and properly imported with a US title (e.g. Previous Canadian)

Transportation
The local DEALERNET sites work with buyers on arranging transportation. Transportation fees are separate and charged based on distance.

Delivered Vehicles
Buyers have three business days after delivery to inspect and accept the vehicle or request arbitration. Arbitration window is closed 10 business days from sale date regardless of transportation.

On accepted vehicles, the seller will send a clear title and smog certificate (if applicable), and the buyer will send payment to the facilitating auction location. The facilitating auction address can be found at the bottom left of the sale disposition.

Dealer Financing
DEALERNET is proud to offer inventory financing through most new-car dealer captives and all the major floorplan providers.
Given that DEALERNET sells reconditioned vehicles, your flooring dollar goes further than it would in the physical auction lanes (pre-recon). Just let us know if you have any questions.

Arbitration
If a vehicle enters arbitration:

An adjustment may be made to the final sales price.
If a vehicle is inspected by an employee or authorized representative of DEALERNET, a $150 fee will be charged.
The sale may be rescinded and the seller will be responsible for all transportation costs.

There is a $350 mechanical arbitration deductible (first $350 of any mechanical repairs are paid by the buyer).

The maximum amounts awarded for arbitration claims are:

$500 paint work (per panel)
$350 brakes/rotors (per axle)
$200 tires (each)
$250 bumpers (each)  
$0 inspection/certification fees
$0 maintenance items (oil/fluid change, batteries, filters, wiper
blades, belts and hoses)

DEALERNET will notify the buyer and seller of the final outcome by email. If an adjustment has been made, a new sales disposition will be sent.

Arbitration will not last longer than 48 hours unless agreed upon by both parties. By participating in a DEALERNET event—either as a buyer or seller—all parties agree that DEALERNET is the final arbiter and its decisions are considered final and binding..
